I do not expect another Pekingese litter to be ready for homes until around September 28.
Shinese News ~
There are no Shinese immediately ready for homes but...
On June 21, 2009, Shinese mother Raven gave birth to five healthy Shinese puppies. There are two females and three males. The females are black. Two males are black and one is brown. Some black puppies have some brown fur on their heads. Photos will be posted when they are about four weeks old when their features have developed.
Holding deposits are accepted at any time.
You don't have to buy a puppy from me to get delivery services.
I will pick up your pet in the Southeast U.S. by private vehicle, then transport your pet to your location. Transport prices are reasonable and are less than Air Cargo transport. Transports are made in GA, FL, AL and SC.
Save on expensive gas! After receiving a $100 non-refundable deposit, I will deliver your puppy via private vehicle at no charge. The deposit is deducted from the price of the puppy. Pay the balance when your puppy is delivered. Delivery will be at mutual convenience. You must meet me within 200 miles of Douglas, GA (Zip Code 31535). I am NOT in Douglasville which is near Atlanta (common mistake by potential buyers). I live two hours north of JacksonvilIe, FL.
If you wish to meet beyond the 200-mile limit, there will be an additional charge for additional mileage.
I do not air ship.
Free delivery is a courtesy to those customers who intend to meet me within the 200-mile limit. Delivery vs. pick up has NOTHING to do with puppy prices. Puppies will remain at $325 each, regardless. Whether you ask for delivery, or elect to pick up your puppy, the puppy price does not change.
Special Note ~
Please check with all family members, especially your spouse, before calling me. Those who say, "Let me check with my husband/wife," are usually not serious callers. I spend a lot of time on the phone with customers and answer every question as thoroughly and honestly as I can. I'd rather that you have more certainty when you call. Thanks.
Deposit Info ~
A $100 non-refundable deposit holds your puppy. If delivery fees apply, they must be prepaid with the deposit. MoneyGram preferred. (See MoneyGram info at the bottom of this page.) If you choose to pay via snail mail, you are running the risk of the puppy being bought out from under you. If someone pays a deposit on your puppy via MG, while I am awaiting your payment, the other person is the buyer. Your payment will be returned.
Do not assume that I will hold a puppy for you without a deposit. I will not. I will not deliver a puppy without delivery fees (if applicable) having been prepaid, whether or not I have received your deposit.
ABOUT MY DOGS & ME ~
PEKINGESE ~
I have been breeding Pekingese for 26 years. I do not have a kennel nor do I want one. I care for them inside the home (although they have the freedom to go outside). All pups receive my individual attention, love and prompt care from birth. I have a sincere personal interest in each and every puppy and want them to have loving homes. Their welfare comes before any finalized sale.
I am licensed and inspected by the Georgia Department of Agriculture. Puppies are dewormed, inoculated and paper-trained before they are adopted. Buyers and I sign a contract which includes a health guarantee.
Pekingese is a quiet breed unless strangers approach. They are not hyper and yappy like some other toy breeds. They prefer human company to dog company.
Pekingese range from 10-14 pounds at adulthood.
Shih Tzu's are similar in temperament to Pekingese. They aren't as stubborn because of their terrier heritage. They are extremely quiet. I do not breed registered Shih Tzu's. I only breed Shinese.
Shinese shedding is minimal. Grooming is easy. A professional groomer is not necessary. Shinese should be brushed at least three days per week. Cut out matting during the brushing session. That's all there is to it!
Shinese (Pekingese + Shih Tzu) are hybrids and are not registered. At adulthood their facial expression can resemble the Shih Tzu or the Peke. Their hair is long and soft. Their facial features display a pug nose with Shih Tzu hair growth. (Compare Onyx'es, Toby's and Buckwheat's photos.)
All of my Shinese puppies are so quiet in their room that I have to check on them repeatedly. They rarely cry. Their mother feeds them on her schedule and the puppies have no complaints.
Shinese average 6-11 pounds at adulthood.

I do not air ship. I've interviewed airport personnel about Air Cargo Shipping. They consider it cruel, as do I. I do not ship by Air Cargo because of confinement, lack of supervision and trauma to the puppy. You may choose to fly to JAX, FL airport to pick up your puppy. Arrangements and expenses are the responsiblity of the Buyer, but I deliver to JAX Int'l free of charge.
Deposits ~
I accept a $100 non-refundable deposit to hold a puppy for you. If there is a delivery fee, it is non-refundable and must be prepaid with your deposit. You receive a written deposit agreement/contract as my pledge to you.
I cannot hold puppies without a deposit. Please don't ask me to hold a puppy without it, and do not assume that I will. First come, first serve. A Moneygram (scroll down for info) is the fastest method of payment preferred. I do not accept PayPal or credit cards because of potential chargebacks.
If your chosen puppy has a deposit on him/her, ask to be placed on his/her waiting list. Buyers have been known to reneg. The minute they do, all on the waiting list will be contacted at one time. First come, first serve.
Customers ~
I will not sell to breeders or to pet shops. My puppies deserve the same freedom, love and attention I give them for the rest of their lives. I have the right to refuse to sell to anyone who cannot provide a similar, free environment in which they were raised. I do not have a kennel, nor do I want one. All dogs and puppies are supervised in my home. If you plan to confine your puppy to a crate, a pen, a cage, a bathroom or a chain, please do not buy one.

Since Kijiji is regional, I advertise in Savannah, GA; Macon, GA; Jacksonville, FL; Gainesville, FL; Daytona Beach, FL; Ocala, FL; and Tallahassee, FL. Delivery to those locales are free. I will deliver free to customers based in AL as long as we meet within 200 miles of Douglas, GA.
Registration ~
My Pekingese puppies are pets and are registered by the Continental Kennel Club. They are not showdogs. They are loving pets.
Shinese are not registered because they are hybrids.
Philosophy ~
I am a firm believer in NOT interfering with nature. In other words: (1) The mothers feed their puppies on their own terms. (2) During the first few weeks of the puppies' lives, I don't even know what sex they are. The mothers are in complete control until the puppies start to crawl. That is when I introduce the pups to paper-training. (3) I do not force the puppies to wean. They can nurse from their mother as long as their mother tolerates it. (Some nurse until their new owners take them on.) (4) I begin socialization when I think the puppies are mature enough. (5) If I think a puppy has not reached adequate maturity at eight weeks, I will ask buyers to delay delivery/pickup until I feel the puppies are ready for new homes.
NOTE: GA and FL laws dictate that puppies NOT be separated from their mother until eight weeks of age. Whether you buy from me or from another breeder, do not accept a puppy under eight weeks of age. The mother and her puppies have a strong, reciprocol emotional bond until that age and sometimes beyond. Separating them from each other is heartwrenching. Also, if you want to infuriate a veterinarian, try taking an underage puppy into him/her for a checkup.
Availability ~
It is rare when I am without puppies. If you aren't ready for a puppy now, please post me in your Favorites.
After-Purchase Care ~
Many of my customers purchase their puppy sight unseen. They have not inspected my dogs' environment, nor have they seen my breeder dogs. I strongly encourage customers to come see the puppies before purchasing. If a sight visit is not practical, please keep in mind that you are basing your choice on photographs and descriptions. Visiting a conscientious breeder, whomever they may be, can prevent unfair and unwarranted accusations and complaints.
I am happy to prove to potential customers that my dogs are raised in a doggie-friendly atmosphere. My dogs do not suffer from negligence or maltreatment... but don't take my word for it. Come meet your puppy!
According to the Final Purchase Contract, you have three business days (not calendar days) to have your puppy examined by a licensed veterinarian. If your vet diagnoses a life-threatening disease, you are entitled to a full refund or a replacement puppy (if practical and mutually agreeable). Your purchase contract will explain in more detail. You may request a sample copy at any time.
Please notify me personally if there is a contractual issue or an unusual health concern of which I should be aware. I care about each puppy, and accept your report as constructive criticism. I strive for perfection; therefore, I readily invite your polite, considerate input. I need to know about any conditions that could affect my other dogs. I am a reasonable person and will work with you about any issues that you deem important.
When you take your puppy to his/her first checkup, be prepared to pay for routine veterinary services and unexpected treatment. I do not pay for your veterinary visits. Puppies are highly susceptible to various conditions, even though they have had preventative care. Their resistance is much lower than adult dogs, and customers need to understand this. I strive for perfection but it isn't always attained. Puppies and dogs can develop conditions in my care as much as they can develop them in your care.
Please remember that I am a breeder, not a veterinarian. If your puppy develops health issues, consult your veterinarian. I state this because I have had customers call me for advice months and years after they bought their puppy. Your pet is your responsibility, and undoubtedly, you will have to spend some money on vet visits on occasion.
I am not qualified to diagnose and treat animals. My knowledge is restricted to everyday, preventative care. After many years of breeding, I am still learning new things.

As you can probably tell, I am not a breeder who will necessarily tell you what you want to hear. I am (sometimes painfully) honest. I've even recommended other breeds to callers whom I felt were better suited to buying other breeds. I will not guarantee that a pup will be a certain size or a certain color at adulthood because genetics rule. Any cautiously-given opinions are based on experience and averages.
I know how to be polite and my phone conversations reflect that I love what I do. I enjoy talking with customers and encourage them to think about their decision before committing.

Request a sample contract before you pay a deposit on your puppy. It is strict. Caring for a puppy is a serious responsibility. Puppies are living things. Puppies aren't objects that can be readily returned to the Breeder as an inanimate object is easily returned to a department store. The contract is designed to weed out those buyers who may be making the wrong decision.
