SPECIAL DELIVERY OFFER TO REASONABLE DISTANCES ~

Save on expensive gas! After receiving a $100 non-refundable deposit, I will deliver your puppy via private vehicle (even on Christmas Day for that special surprise!)at no charge. The deposit is deducted from the price of the puppy. Pay the balance when your puppy is delivered. Delivery will be at your convenience. You must meet me within 200 miles of Douglas, GA (Zip Code 31535). If you live beyond the 200 mile limit, there will be an additional charge for additional mileage. I do not deliver beyond 350 miles. NEWS UPDATE AS OF NOVEMBER 1, 2008 -

I have one remaining Pekingese puppy. His name is Nanjing (the Chinese word for "capital city"). He is red and has been reduced to $200.

JUST IN TIME FOR CHRISTMAS! ~ On October 25, 2008, two black female Peke-a-Tzu's were born. Velvet is the bigger one. Licorice is her smaller sister. They will be ready immediately before Christmas. Their price is $300 each. Pictures will be available when they are five weeks old. That is when their characteristics will be more apparent. More Peke-a-Tzu's are expected in a few weeks.

ABOUT MY DOGS & ME ~

PEKINGESE ~

I have been breeding Pekingese for 25 years. I do not have a kennel nor do I want one. I care for them inside the home (although they have the freedom to go outside). All pups receive my individual attention and prompt care from birth.

I am licensed and inspected by the Georgia Department of Agriculture. Puppies are dewormed, innoculated and paper-trained before they are adopted. Buyers and I sign a health care contract which includes a guarantee.

Pekingese is a quiet breed unless strangers approach. They are not hyper and yappy like some other toy breeds. They prefer human company to dog company.

Adults range from 10-14 pounds at adulthood.

SHIH-TZU'S & PEKE-A-TZU'S (SHINESE) ~

Shih Tzu's are similar in temperament to Pekingese. They aren't as independent and stubborn because of their terrier heritage.

Air shipping ~ I do not ship by air cargo because of confinement, lack of supervision and trauma to the puppy; however, I will deliver by plane if I accompany the puppy in the plane's cabin. Prepaid expenses for that include my plane ticket, plus the additional cost for flying with a puppy (around $80), plus $60 for my roundtrip to the airport (140 miles RT), plus the health certificate issued by a vet. On rare occasions a hotel stay may be necessary, Contact me for an estimate.

Air Alternative ~ You may choose to fly to Jacksonville, FL International Airport to pick up your puppy; however, my additional expense fees apply.

My Location ~

I am located in Douglas, GA, 2 hours north of Jacksonville, FL. I am not close to Atlanta but Atlanta is a reasonable, driveable distance from me. North FL is closer.

I accept a $100 deposit to hold a puppy for you. You receive a written deposit agreement/contract as my pledge to you. I cannot hold puppies without a deposit. Please don't ask me to hold a puppy without it, and do not assume that I will. Money orders and Wal-Mart Moneygrams are acceptable methods of payment for the deposit. I do not accept PayPal or credit cards.

I will not sell to breeders and to pet shops. My puppies deserve the same freedom, love and attention I give them, for the rest of their lives. I have the right to refuse to sell to anyone who cannot provide a similar, free environment in which they were raised. If you plan to confine your puppy to a crate, pen, cage or chain, please do not buy one.

My puppies are pets and are registered by the Continental Kennel Club. They are not showdogs. Peke-a-Tzu's are not registered because they are hybrids; however, you will receive copies of the dam and sire's registration papers. Shih Tzu's are not registered and are priced accordingly. (Their father has no papers.)
