Communication ~

I am online every waking moment conducting business on the Web. I realize that most people are not; however, the moment you pay a deposit on a puppy, please check your e-mails and phone messages regularly. There have been occasions when I've requested a decision regarding a puppy, and the new owner hasn't responded for days. Lack of communication is in violation of my Seller Terms. If I do not receive a reply within reasonable time, I may have to make a decision for the Depositor. Depositors, please don't put me in that position.

Pekingese News ~

I do not anticipate anymore Pekingese puppies until winter. My business is veering more toward the breeding of Shinese.

Five puppies are available. Two are ready for homes. Moptop and Cinder are pictured.

NEW FEMALE BREEDER: I couldn't believe my luck when I drove into the local Walmart parking lot on June 18. I saw a seller trying to sell her last Malti-Tzu (Maltese + Shih Tzu), a three-month-old beautiful parti-colored female. I bought the pup on the spot, and named her Lilywhite (British spelling) Lilith ("Lily"). For those of you in my age group, you probably remember the group "Genesis." I am a big fan of Genesis and named Lilith after their song entitled "Lilywhite Lilith." The song depicts Lilith, who is an angel guiding one through the tunnel of light, after human life has ceased. Since Lilith (the new addition) is predominently white, I felt that she deserved her distinguished name. I've posted her image. I am hoping for some beautiful Malti-Peke-a-Tzu puppies in the future.

QUESTIONS?

I encourage potential customers to read this webpage in its entirety, especially the information about limited free delivery. I'm receiving calls from all over the country, which is appreciated; however, those out of my delivery area are disapponted when they call, only to find out that I don't deliver puppies via vehicle hundreds of miles. Reading my site thoroughly will answer many of your questions. I don't mind answering questions regardless of your situation, but please read all conditions.

FREE DELIVERY TO LIMITED AREAS ~

NOTE: Limited delivery is not to be confused with puppy prices. Free delivery is a courtesy to those who meet me within 200 miles of Douglas, GA. Delivery fees have NOTHING to do with puppy prices. Whether you choose delivery or pick-up, puppy prices remain the same. I am very willing to meet folks halfway. There is no charge for ANY delivery up to 200 miles from Douglas, GA.

Save on expensive gas! After receiving a $100 non-refundable deposit, I will deliver your puppy via private vehicle at no charge. The deposit is deducted from the price of the puppy. Pay the balance when your puppy is delivered. Delivery will be at mutual convenience. You must meet me within 200 miles of Douglas, GA (Zip Code 31535). I am NOT in Douglasville which is near Atlanta (common mistake by potential buyers). I live two hours north of JacksonvilIe, FL.

If you wish to meet beyond the 200-mile limit, there will be an additional charge for additional mileage, if I determine that the distance is reasonable.

I DO NOT AIR SHIP. I feel that puppies should be personally supervised at all times.

Family Approval ~

Please check with all family members, especially your spouse, before calling me. Those who say, "Let me check with my husband/wife," are usually not serious callers. I spend a lot of time on the phone with customers and answer every question as thoroughly and honestly as I can. I'd rather that you have more certainty when you call. Thanks.

ABOUT THE BREEDS

PEKINGESE ~

I have been breeding Pekingese for 26 years. I do not have a kennel nor do I want one. I care for them inside the home (although they have the freedom to go outside). All pups receive my individual attention, love and prompt care from birth. I have a sincere personal interest in each and every puppy and want them to have loving homes. Their welfare comes before any finalized sale.

I am licensed and inspected by the Georgia Department of Agriculture. Puppies are dewormed, inoculated and paper-trained before they are adopted. Buyers and I sign a contract which includes a health guarantee.

Pekingese is a quiet breed unless strangers approach. They are not hyper and yappy like some other toy breeds. They prefer human company to dog company.

Pekingese range from 10-14 pounds at adulthood. They may be registered with the Continental Kennel Club (CKC).

SHINESE (PEKE-A-TZU'S) ~

I do not breed registered Shih Tzus. I only breed Shinese. A Shinese is a Pekingese/Shih Tzu hybrid, recognized by several canine organizations.

Shinese are similar in temperament to Pekingese. They aren't as stubborn because of their terrier heritage. They are extremely quiet. Shinese are very loving and loyal. They are playful, intelligent and well-behaved.

Shinese shedding is minimal and comparable to human hair shedding. Grooming is easy. A professional groomer is not necessary. Shinese should be brushed at least three days per week. Cut out matting during the brushing session. Pay particular attention to their lower back area. Their hair can mat there quickly. That's all there is to it!

At adulthood, a Shinese facial expression can resemble the Shih Tzu or the Peke. Hair is long, fine and soft. Their facial features display a pug nose with Shih Tzu hair growth.

All of my newborn Shinese puppies have been so quiet that I have to check on them repeatedly. They rarely cry. Their mother feeds them on her schedule and the puppies voice no complaints. Their personalities are delightful. Their serene temperament carries on into adulthood.

Shinese average 6-11 pounds at adulthood. Some of my litters may be registered with the Continental Kennel Club (CKC).

Blue-Eyed Puppies ~

Two of my sires (one peke and one tzu) carry the blue-eyed gene. Puppies with blue eyes may not maintain their blue eyes as they get older. If you purchase a puppy with blue eyes, each is priced at $500, whether or not their eyes change. You are buying the GENE rather than the final eye color.

All other puppies are $350, regardless of breed or gender. Prices are subject to change at any time, even before an update is made to this site.

Air Shipping ~

I do not air ship. I've interviewed airport personnel about Air Cargo Shipping. They consider it cruel, as do I. I do not ship by Air Cargo because of confinement, lack of supervision and trauma to the puppy. You may choose to fly to JAX, FL airport to pick up your puppy. Arrangements and expenses are the responsiblity of the Buyer, but I deliver to JAX Int'l free of charge.

Screening Customers ~

I shall not sell to breeders who have kennels or to those running pet shops. My puppies deserve a similar environment in which they were raised. I do not have a kennel, nor do I want one. My puppies are raised inside the home and receive individual attention and socialization. If you plan to confine your puppy to a crate, a bathroom, a chain, a small pen or any other restrictive device, PLEASE DO NOT BUY ONE.

Where to find me ~

My puppy ads are also posted at www.puppyfind.com and www.kijiji.com. Since Kijiji is regional, I advertise in Jacksonville, FL. I will deliver free to customers based in AL as long as we meet within 200 miles of Douglas, GA.

Registration ~

My puppies are pet-quality and are registered by the Continental Kennel Club. They are not showdogs. Depending upon the sire and dam, Shinese litters may or may not be registered. Registration is necessary for (1) showdogs and (2) pedigree breeding. Usually, my customers are those who want loving pets. Registration is of little consequence to those owners; however, all Pekingese puppies are CKC registered.

Philosophy ~

I am a firm believer in NOT interfering with nature. In other words: (1) The mothers feed their puppies on their own terms. (2) During the first few weeks of the puppies' lives, I don't even know what sex they are. The mothers are in complete control until the puppies start to crawl. That is when I introduce the pups to paper-training. (3) I do not force the puppies to wean. They can nurse from their mother as long as their mother tolerates it. (Some nurse until their new owners take them on.) (4) I begin socialization when I think the puppies are mature enough. (5) If I think a puppy has not reached adequate maturity at eight weeks, I will ask buyers to delay delivery/pickup until I feel the puppies are ready for new homes.

NOTE: GA and FL laws dictate that puppies NOT be separated from their mother until eight weeks of age; however, I will not release puppies until they are 9-10 weeks of age. They will handle the stress of environmental change much better at that time.

Whether you buy from me or from another breeder, do not accept a puppy under eight weeks of age. The mother and her puppies have a strong, reciprocol, emotional bond until that age and sometimes beyond. Separating them from each other is heartwrenching. Also, if you want to infuriate a veterinarian, try taking an underage puppy into him/her for a checkup.

Availability ~

It is rare when I am without puppies. If you aren't ready for a puppy now, please post me in your Favorites.

Purchasing Sight Unseen ~

Many of my customers purchase their puppy sight unseen. They have not inspected my dogs' environment, nor have they seen my breeder dogs. I strongly encourage customers to come see the puppies before purchasing. If a site visit is not practical, please keep in mind that you are basing your choice on photographs and descriptions. A visit to the breeder can prevent unfair and unwarranted accusations and complaints. Although it isn't always necessary, you are strongly encouraged to come meet your puppy!

No False Promises ~

As you can probably tell, I am not a breeder who will necessarily tell you what you want to hear. I am (sometimes painfully) honest. I've even recommended other breeds to callers whom I felt were better suited to buying other breeds. I will not guarantee that a pup will be a certain size or a certain color at adulthood because genetics rule. Any cautiously-given opinions are based on experience and averages.

I know how to be polite and my phone conversations reflect that I love what I do. I enjoy talking with customers and encourage them to think about their decision before committing.

All business transactions are in writing ~

Request a sample contract before you pay a deposit on your puppy. It is strict. Caring for a puppy is a serious responsibility. Puppies are living things. Puppies aren't objects that can be readily returned to the Breeder as an inanimate object is easily returned to a department store. The contract is designed to weed out those buyers who may be making the wrong decision.

Deposit Info ~

Potential customers should not pay a deposit if they are uncertain about which puppy to choose, or if they tend to repeatedly change their mind about their choice. I have other customers who are more certain. Puppies are living, maturing animals with whom potential customers have not yet bonded. Their puppy is not yet real to them. Flippant behavior by customers in said fashion shall not be tolerated. Those customers may lose their deposit.

A $100 non-refundable deposit holds your puppy. If delivery fees apply, they must be prepaid with the deposit. MoneyGram preferred. (See MoneyGram info at the bottom of this page.) If you choose to pay via snail mail, you are running the risk of the puppy being bought out from under you. If someone pays a deposit on your puppy via MG, while I am awaiting your payment, the other person is the buyer. Your payment will be returned.

Do not assume that I will hold a puppy for you without a deposit. I will not. I will not deliver a puppy without delivery fees (if applicable) having been prepaid, whether or not I have received your deposit.

Puppies having deposits on them are still posted on aforementioned websites until they are released to their new owners. In the meantime, If your chosen puppy has a deposit on him/her, ask to be placed on his/her waiting list. Buyers have been known to reneg. The minute they do, all on the waiting list will be contacted at one time. Sales will be first come, first served.

DEPOSIT INSTRUCTIONS ~

MoneyGram Information ~

Puppy Deposit & Prepaid Delivery Charge (if applicable) via MoneyGram...

You may send a MoneyGram online, or choose to go to Wal-Mart or another vendor, in person. Buying online costs a few more dollars. You will need the following information to complete your MoneyGram "Send" form.

NOTE: Please follow these instructions literally and TO THE LETTER! If you do not, I cannot pick up your deposit, and your puppy will not be considered as "on hold." If I cannot pick up your deposit, any contracts you may have received from me are considered null and void. There will be no delivery.

There cannot be misspellings on the "Send" form. If you fail to follow instructions, you will have to return to your MG provider and correct errors before I can pick up your deposit.

1. Go to your online MoneyGram provider (www.emoneygram.com) -OR- go in person to the most common on-site provider, Wal-Mart's MoneyCenter or Customer Service Desk.

2. Fill in a "Send" form with your personal information.

3. Fill in my information (Receiver) as follows: Debra Nipper, Phone

912-209-7091. (My ID is in my former married name of "Nipper.")

4. Pay the amount of deposit, the delivery fee (if applicable) and the MG fee to the provider.

5. Call or e-mail me the information you provided on your MG Send form: your registration number, your name, your phone number and the city and state where your MG was obtained.

6. Keep your MG receipt as proof of your payment and puppy hold. Deposits are NON-REFUNDABLE. There are no exceptions unless your puppy contracts a life-threatening illness or dies before delivery/pickup. A deposit means that I am withholding your puppy from another potential buyer. If you reneg after the deposit has been paid, you will not receive a refund. You have deprived another buyer and the breeder of a successful, timely adoption, which is costly and inconvenient.
