Pekingese:



One Pekingese puppy remains and is five months old. Panda's price has been lowered to $300 but reasonable offers are accepted. 



"Panda," the Pekingese female does not look like a traditional Pekingese but she is oh-so-loving. She follows me wherever I go and loves attention. Her snout protrudes more than most pekes, and her hair is relatively short. Her tail curves over her back. She takes after her mother who sheds very little.



Shinese:



The pictured puppy is called "Tessa." At the time of this update, she is nine weeks old. She is simply adorable with her bright white chest and fanny. The long white tip of her tail curls onto her black back for a striking look. Tessa is healthy, robust, playful, curious and has never been afraid of anything since she started walking.



DESIGNER MUTTS! 



My Malti-Tzu's (Maltese + Shih Tzu's) four female puppies will be listed by February 1st. The father is Shinese; therefore, the pups are "Malti-Shinese" or "Malti-Peke-a-Tzus." Currently, they are walking and socializing but have not developed their hair length and individual facial features. I'm excited about my first litter of Maltis and am anxiously awaiting how much cuter they will get.

RELEASING TO NEW HOMES ~



I shall not release puppies to new homes until they are at least 10 weeks of age. There are no exceptions. I understand that people buy puppies for gifts and have deadlines; however, those must be disregarded. I wish to sell puppies whose immune systems have matured more. Puppies between 7 and 10 weeks are at a crucial developmental stage and need to remain under my care.



About Me ~



I have been breeding puppies for 27 years. I do not have a kennel nor do I want one. I care for them inside the home (although they have the freedom to go outside). All pups receive my individual attention, love and prompt care from birth. I have a sincere personal interest in each and every puppy and want them to have loving homes. Their welfare comes before any finalized sale.



My business is licensed and inspected by the Georgia Department of Agriculture. Puppies are dewormed, inoculated and paper-trained before they are adopted. Buyers and I sign a contract which includes a health guarantee. 



My dogs are pets and produce pet-quality puppies. I do not sell show dogs.



The Pekingese Breed ~



Pekingese is a quiet breed unless strangers approach. They are not hyper and yappy like some other toy breeds. They prefer human company to dog company. 



They are loving and enjoyable but independent and stubborn. Don't expect them to come when you call them. It is not advisable to buy an adult Pekingese for children.



Pekingese range from 10-14 pounds at adulthood. Mine may be registered with the Continental Kennel Club (CKC).

Shinese (aka Peke-a-Tzu) Breed ~



I do not breed registered Shih Tzus. I only breed Shinese. A Shinese is a Pekingese/Shih Tzu hybrid, recognized by several canine organizations.



Shinese aren't as stubborn as Pekingese because of their terrier heritage. They are extremely quiet. Shinese are very loving and loyal. They are playful, intelligent, eager to please and well-behaved. They are great with children.



Shinese hair shedding is minimal and comparable to human hair shedding. They have long, fine, soft hair and no undercoat. A Shinese should have a sweater or a coat when exposed to cold weather due to that fact. A professional groomer is not necessary but they look gorgeous when groomed professionally. Shinese should be brushed at least three days per week. Cut out matting during the brushing session. Pay particular attention to their lower back and leg pits areas. Their hair can mat there quickly. 



At adulthood, a Shinese facial expression can resemble the Shih Tzu or the Peke. Their facial features display a pug nose with Shih Tzu hair growth.



All of my newborn Shinese puppies have been so quiet that I have to check on them repeatedly. Their mother feeds them on her schedule and the puppies voice no complaints. Their personalities are delightful. Their serene temperament carries on into adulthood.



Shinese average 6-11 pounds at adulthood. 



Blue-Eyed Puppies ~



Two of my sires (one peke and one tzu) carry the blue-eyed gene. Puppies with blue eyes may or may not maintain their blue eyes as they get older. If you purchase a puppy with blue eyes, each is priced at $500, whether or not their eyes change. You are buying the GENE rather than the final eye color. 



Philosophy ~



I am a firm believer in NOT interfering with nature. In other words the mothers have complete control until the pups are ready to socialize with me.



NOTE: GA and other state laws dictate that puppies not be separated from their mother until eight weeks of age; however, I shall not release puppies until they are at least 10 weeks of age. Their immune system is much more efficient and they will handle the stress of environmental change much better at that time.

If you plan to confine your puppy to a crate, a bathroom, a chain, a small pen or any other restrictive device, PLEASE DO NOT BUY ONE. My puppies have the run of the house. They don't understand confinement. A buyer will be creating a tremendous problem if they suddenly subject one of my puppies to strict enclosures.



Please make sure that all family members, especially spouses, approve of a new pet before calling me. I would appreciate more certainty when we converse, since I spend a lot of time answering questions.



Also, please do not assign a minor child to calling me. I will ask to speak to an adult. My business involves contractual agreements that cannot be signed by minors.

Free Delivery ~ 



I shall not deliver until a holding deposit has been paid. A depositor is a serious buyer and will show up at the delivery site. Free delivery is not to be confused with puppy prices. It is a courtesy to those who meet me within 200 miles of Douglas, GA. Whether you choose delivery or pick-up, puppy prices remain the same. 



After receiving a $100 non-refundable deposit, I will deliver your puppy via private vehicle at no charge. The deposit is deducted from the price of the puppy. Pay the balance when your puppy is delivered. Delivery will be at mutual convenience.  



I do not deliver several puppies solely for viewing. If you wish to choose among many, it will be necessary for the customer to choose on-site.



If you wish to meet beyond the 200-mile limit, there will be an additional charge for additional mileage, if I determine that the distance is reasonable.

A VIEWING APPOINTMENT IS NOT A BINDING SALES AGREEMENT. I'VE AGREED TO MEET YOU. I HAVE NOT AGREED TO HOLD YOUR CHOSEN PUPPY. THERE ARE NO VERBAL HOLDS.

A $100 non-refundable deposit holds your puppy choice. If delivery fees have not been paid (if applicable), there shall be no delivery, whether or not you paid the deposit. 



MoneyGram is preferred but not demanded. (See MoneyGram info at the bottom of this page.) If you choose to pay via snail mail, you are running the risk of the puppy being bought out from under you. If someone pays a deposit on your puppy electronically, while I am awaiting your snail mail deposit, your deposit will be returned. The first depositor is the buyer.

Purchasing Sight Unseen ~



Many of my customers purchase their puppy sight unseen. They have not inspected my dogs' environment, nor have they seen my breeder dogs. I strongly encourage customers to come see the puppies before purchasing. If a site visit is not practical, please keep in mind that you are basing your choice on photographs and descriptions.  A visit to the breeder can prevent unfair and unwarranted accusations and complaints. Although it isn't always necessary, you are strongly encouraged to come meet your puppy!



No False Promises ~



As you can probably tell, I am not a breeder who will necessarily tell you what you want to hear. I am (sometimes painfully) honest. I've even recommended other breeds to callers whom I felt were better suited to buying other breeds. I will not guarantee that a pup will be a certain size or a certain color at adulthood because genetics rule. Any cautiously-given opinions are based on experience and averages. 



Amusingly, I receive requests for "made-to-order" pups. I have no control over genetic traits and do not make risky predictions.



All business transactions are in writing ~



Request a sample contract before you pay a deposit on your puppy. Caring for a puppy is a serious responsibility. Puppies aren't objects that can be readily returned to the Breeder as an inanimate object is returned to a department store. The contract is designed to weed out those buyers who may be making the wrong decision. 



Payment Methods ~ 



Cash, money order, MoneyGram... I do not accept credit cards or PayPal due to potential chargebacks. Personal checks are accepted for holding deposits ONLY.



MoneyGram Advice ~



Wire transfers such as MG are often used by scammers. MoneyGram may refuse your transaction online if you state your reason for sending money. The reason given me by an MG representative is that they don't want their reputation ruined. Research reveals that they have allegedly had legal problems due to scamming. I suggest you visit a Walmart or another provider in person to send your MG, or send a check or money order to my address (above). 



If you are uncomfortable with any of the aforementioned, you are strongly encouraged to visit me to buy your puppy. Under no circumstances do I hold puppies without a deposit; therefore, I urge you to make the decision that best lies within your comfort zone. 



OBTAINING A MONEYGRAM ~ 



IMPORTANT! Please follow these instructions literally and TO THE LETTER, without misspellings! If you do not follow my advice, you will have to return to your MG provider to make corrections. You may incur additional charges. Then, I cannot pick up your deposit, and your puppy will not be considered "on hold." Any contracts you may have received from me are considered null and void. There shall be no delivery.



SPECIFIC INSTRUCTIONS:



1. Purchase your MoneyGram online (www.emoneygram.com) -OR- go in person to the most common on-site providers, Wal-Mart's MoneyCenter/ Customer Service desk, Publix or other provider. 



2. Fill in a "Send" form with your personal information.



3. Fill in my information (Receiver) as follows: Debra Nipper, Phone 912-209-7091. (My ID, which I must present for deposit pick up, is in my former married name of "Nipper.")



4. Pay the amount of deposit, the delivery fee (if applicable) and the MG fee to the provider.



5. Call or e-mail me the information you provided on your MG Send form: your reference number, your name, your phone number and the city and state where your MG was obtained.



6. Keep your MG receipt as proof of your payment and puppy hold. Deposits are NON-REFUNDABLE. There are no exceptions unless your puppy contracts a life-threatening illness or dies before delivery/pickup. A deposit means that I am withholding your puppy from another potential buyer. If you reneg after the deposit has been paid, you will not receive a refund. You have deprived another buyer and the breeder of a successful, timely adoption, which is costly, inconvenient and unfeeling toward a puppy who is steadily bonding with me.
