Deer Mountain Kennels started in the foothills of Colorado before comming East to Delaware.  We focus on breeding healthy, well tempered Jack Russells, fitting into your active livestyle.  Hiking a trail, walking the beach and just relaxing with their humans are some of a Jacks favorite things to do.  

Along with the love we give, we strive to breed a healthy Jack.  We joined the JRTCA in 2004 and abide by their breeding standards.  Our pups are from PLL and ATAXIA clear parents with current clear CERF tests.  We breed to the standard and expect our pups to be about 12.5 inches at the withers.  They may have a smooth, rough or broken coat type and are mostly white. 

We raise our puppies in our home, trying to play and hold them to build the human bond.  We encourage our "new" parents to come and visit their puppy often until they are old enough to go to their new home.  We send our puppies home with their first shots and encourage all parents to take their pup in for a physical with their vet  in the first few days after they bring them home.  

Most important, we love just being with our dogs.  They are great travel companions and we enjoy taking them with us whenever possible.   

At Deer Mountian, there is always at least one Jack underfoot, and we like it that way.
