Von Luchbach Weimaraners has been in existence since 1975. We have enjoyed our Weims first as loyal family companions and second as top winning show dogs. Our purpose in breeding quality Weimaraners and in being familiar with the dogs for generations back in our pedigrees is to be able to occasionally produce a litter that allows others to bring lifelong companions into their homes and to try to ensure that these dogs are of sound mind and body. In other words, we do not support puppy mill breeding or the breeding of dogs where detailed knowledge of the dogs appearing in the pedigrees is not known. Breeding health tested and temperament tested dogs is the best that we can do to help our breed move forward in the right direction. Breeding is not an exact science, and we don't claim to be perfect, but we do the best we can to work for the betterment of our breed. We have bred, owned and/or shown some of the top winning Weims in the country, but our love for competition is second to our love for the breed and the assurance that our puppies go to loving, forever homes is paramount. All potential homes are screened thoroughly. However, if in addition to a loving home, competition interests you, we would love to educate any Weimaraner enthusiast to the sport of showing or field trialing their dogs and would also introduce them to the benefits of membership in the Weimaraner Club of America (please visit the club website for more info). A way for me to have given back to the breed over the years has included involvement in our national club. I was a member of the Weimaraner Club of America Board of Directors for a total of 14 years and have served as the Chair of the WCA Breeders Education Committee.
