I have been a member of the Havanese Club of America for over 30 years. I show my dogs in obedience trials. Our adults and pups are AKC registered and breeding adults are health tested and OFA certified(CERF'd) to be free of early cataracts, healthy hearts and patellas are certified to be in great condition.
Our pups are socialized with other dogs as well as children. They have a variety of experiences on different surfaces and are exposed to everyday sounds like vacuums, dishwashers etc. They are carefully given new challenges such as running through straight and 3 chute tunnels to increase confidence. These experiences will make for a more stable puppy that is not afraid of typical family life.The pups live in the busiest part of our home and are taken outside to start housebreaking at about 6 weeks of age.
Perks:I will board your puppy when your family is away and give them a home away from home. I also offer private obedience training sessions for you and your puppy.
The method we follow to screen prospective owners and match pups to families:
1. Email or call with inquiries.
2. You may visit before the mom has puppies so I can meet your family and you can meet and see where her pups will be growing up. If all is well, then you will be placed on the wait list.
3.After pups are born , I accept deposits to hold a pup. If you have a specific color or gender preference let me know at this time. Otherwise we choose specific pups by personality; trying to match the families energy level to the pup's. This is done when the pups are 6-7 weeks old. Pups will leave at about 9 -10 weeks of age.
- You may visit pups at about 5-6 weeks of age after they have built some immunities. However, I will give you a link to view new pictures each week to watch them grow starting at birth.
- Each time you visit we will go over puppy care. I will be giving you this specially made booklet so you can refer back to it after you take your puppy home.
