TOUCHOFAMBER KENNELS--OUR HISTORY
TOUCHOFAMBER KENNELS began years after we bought our first, wonderful Golden in 1992, I Dream of (Chelsea). Chelsea was so special! When she looked at you with those big, brown eyes, you could see the love pour out and you felt that she could understand not only what you were saying but also what you were thinking. Those same eyes could also look so downcast and pitiful when she thought you were mad at her. Beginning with her, in 1995, I wanted others to experience that same love and devotion, and so began my breeding program. Chelsea is no longer with us, but through our puppies, I can see some measure of Chelsea and the smiles on our owners faces as they love on their pups. reminds me of the smile on my face the day we brought Chelsea home.
From two of her litters, I kept her daughters, Sierra's Touchofamber(Sierra) and Good Golly, Sweet Molly(Molly). Absolutely wonderful dogs! Sierra and Molly had beautiful, big, healthy pups and we enjoyed them immensely!! I took the pups to school with me at six weeks old and the school children had a hayday playing with them outside the school. I have pictures of the pups laying sprawled out on the desks inside the room because they were so tuckered out! How fun! We lost both of our sweet girls several years back and thus ties to their wonderful mama. Like their mother, both produced many fine pups that have gone to loving owners, many of whom still write and send pictures. One of our oldest pups just lived to be 14!
My Touchofamber's Gabriel's Glory(Gabriel), bought from a top breeder in Indiana, was to have been my sire but when that didn't work out, he just became king of the farm. Oh, what joy we have had out of our big, sweet boy. Such a friendly big guy! I bought Touchofamber's Dazzlin' Dante (Dante) in January of 2008 from a lovely lady in Ohio. He was a great fellow, light golden, and came from a good background with good bloodlines. He loved to run on the farm and constantly looked for the nearest mud puddle! Dante came from 6 generations of OFA cleared dogs, many with good or excellent clearances. There were many champions in his bloodline. I just knew when I saw his bloodline that he'd produce wonderful Goldens throughout his career. In just his few litters, I've seen great things from him producing happy, healthy strong puppies that have grown up into beautiful dogs!
I've added to my Golden gang over the years with the keeping or two of my puppies, Touchofamber's Illustrious Isabelle (Isabelle) and Touchofamber's Sasha's Saga (Sasha). Beautiful, sweet, gentle ladies. I also decided to strengthen my breeding stock through the years with the purchases of Chloe's Gentle Peace(Chloe), Touchofamber's Embraceable Emmie(Emmie), and Touchofamber's Foxy Farrah (Farrah). Chloe was offered to me as a peace offering from my husband after a couple of weeks of fussing. It worked! Ha! She was absolutely wonderful and a super mama. I have people coming back and wanting another puppy because of her! We lost her at 11 1/2 years old. Miss her bunches!
In 2014 and 2015, we saw a bigger increase in our kennel. In 2014, I decided to keep two of our pups from our fall litters. Our sweet girl, Touchofamber's Magnificent Marlowe (Marlowe) and our bouncy boy, Touchofamber's Thundering Thor (Thor) have given us lots of joy and many great puppies with their first litter, and God willing, this litter will be just as special! In 2015, I kept another puppy, Touchofamber's Precious Piper (Piper) from our Emmie's litter and then one month later, we purchased another precious boy, (Sawyer), Touchofamber's Stunning Sawyer. Sawyer comes from a wonderful kennel in Tennessee and their owner is a lovely lady!
2014 also brought us a big loss, that of our beautiful Dante. He left us much too soon. We are thinking a snake bite and we were so caught off guard. Playing out in the yard one day and gone the next! Such a terrible loss. We miss him so!
2016 brought massive changes to my kennel also. Many heartfelt losses that year! Many tears!! In May, we lost our sweet Isabelle to cancer. She was 11 years old. Izzy was long retired and had just been living out her life with us after producing many wonderful babies and making many people happy. Izzy was a wonderful mother and watched over her babies so well. Thank you, Izzy! Our dear Sasha was retired and after many months of soul searching, I decided to give her to someone that could love on her more one on one than I could. She is the first Golden I have ever given away after breeding and it hurt my heart but I know she is better off with her new family. I've not been able to in the past but I don't know if I chose well for the dogs. I personally feel that each Golden deserves to be the center of their family's attention and that can't happen in a kennel situation. It is the only reason I've ever felt my breeding was wrong. She is living with a wonderful family here in the county where she has a big buddy Golden to run and play with. Play On Sweet Sasha! In June, my beautiful, sweet Gabriel passed away. Oh, how our place has been so different! We miss him so much. My husband said we were going to give them all away at an early age, that we weren't gonna go through that again!! He was hurting! Gabe was always such a gentle giant that never left the place and just wanted our love and attention. He would walk between me and the other dogs as if to say, "Stay back, she's mine!" And I guess I was, even though I didn't tell the others. Our last heartache came about that fall with the loss of our dear Emmie. Her litter was born in August and then at about 2 weeks old, she just stopped wanting to eat. I tried everything. It would work for a while, then she would stop again. I kept telling her the pups needed her and she had to straighten up. She went away to die the day before the babies turned 6 weeks old. She had gotten them big enough and she just gave up. The vet said she thought post-partum depression. I had no idea of the possibility. I do now!! What a loss of a dear, sweet, gentle girl. She was amazing. The ear to ear grin she gave was a beauty. My husband called her, "Grinner". She was only 6. No way should that be possible! The year could only get better and keeping a puppy from her litter was exactly what we needed to brighten this place up again. Touchofamber's Remarkable Remington (Remi) was that light in the dark. She has been a joy!!
2017 was a year of watching my dogs grow and evolve and being made happy in the process. There were two litters this year. One from Farrah, that was her last litter and that made me sad. She seemed happy and just ready to rest and play. And then closing out the year, we had a beautiful litter from Marlowe and Sawyer. God was good to us in 2017.
2018 began with us loving on our new litter from Marlowe and Sawyer. They all went to wonderful homes the end of January. February was an exciting month bringing along a new addition to our dog family, Touchofamber's Gentle Gypsy. Gypsy is a white-golden beauty and we love loving on her and teaching her. She's a quick learner. June brought us a beautiful, new litter from Marlowe and Sawyer. They are going on a year old and are living the life with their wonderful families. Looking forward to year old pictures sent to me. Had hoped to have two more litters later in the year, one from my Piper and one from my Remington. Didn't work out.
2019 was a great year with the dogs. Exciting happenings that summer with the arrival of a new litter from Marlowe and Thor. We kept one of their babies, Touchofamber's Kissable Kira (Kira). She is over two now and turning out to be a real beauty! All good on the front of health/wellness! We've been lucky! Still no litter from either Piper or Remi. We were hoping for better luck in the spring of 2020. The last two days of 2019 brought us a brand new litter from Gypsy, her first, and Thor. Mixture of colors, 4 females and 5 males. All sold and went to wonderful homes in February of 2020.
2020. BRING ON THE PUPPY BREATH! was the motto of 2020. We were looking forward to up to 3 litters in 2020. Boy did 2020 prove to be a surprise in all aspects! Covid made us all crazy and my dogs made me even crazier. The spring brought sad times for our kennel. We lost our precious Farrah. She got down on us and had to be put to sleep. Rest easy, my girl, you were a beautiful part of our family. Farrah started her breeding career in the spring of 2013. She had 5 litters and we have many pleased families that own one of her babies. Farrah was retired in 2017.
My planned litters for spring and summer didn't work out, two false pregnancies and a breeding that didn't take. Disappointment ran rampant both for me and for my list of prospective puppy buyers. Some chose to stay until a future litter and some decided to look further. Can't blame them! Never in all the previous years had my dogs and I had this luck! That being said, three breedings took place in the fall and Marlowe had 12 babies, yes 12 at her age, that went home in January 2021. Piper finally bred and had 7 babies that went home in January 2021. They were a welcome surprise!! Gypsy's one pup arrived in December and weighed in at 13.8 lbs at six weeks old. She went to her new owners in March, 2021. So...we were finally overrun by sweet puppy breath during the winter season!
2021 I Spring breedings with Marlowe, Piper failed again. Not sure what was happening there. Nothing new came up in the summer. All dogs just hung out and played. Fall breedings of Kira, her first, and Piper failed. Gypsy was bred with Thor. Sucess!!! 6 healthy puppies were born on September 18th. She and I stayed up all night. What a beautiful litter and they are happy and thriving with their new families and growing up to be beauties!
Our Sawyer was determined not able to breed and he was given to a lovely couple here in the county. They have one 6th grade boy and he loves playing and hanging out with Sawyer on their farm. Sawyer looks so happy to be king of the household and big back porch!
In November, we welcomed our newest addition, Trooper. Our little boy was born on September 24th at a kennel in Tennessee, Young Ridge Goldens. He is a pure joy and so beautiful. Can't wait to see what comes from him!!!
2022
2023--This year has been difficult so far. Dealing with my husband having to go through chemo with the hopes we can prolong the inevitable. Thank goodness it is in God's hands. We have had two litters since April. Mia and Trooper had their first litter and raised 2 girls and 1 boy that have gone with wonderful families. Gypsy and Trooper have had a litter of 12 but it wasn't in the cards for 4 of them. My son and his wife and kids took a big beautiful male that they are calling Bo. I get to watch him grow up firsthand. There were 9 boys and 3 girls but only one little girl and seven boys survived. All went to wonderful homes.
2024
2025- My Magical Mia had only one, beautiful pup on June 10th. Miss USA was all by herself and got all of Mama's lovin and milk. She grew fast and well. She has now gone home to a sweet boy here in our county to love on and train. Riley, will hopefully grow up to be a sweet, beautiful Golden for him. Kira had eight beautiful babies, 5 boys and 3 girls. Kira is a wonderful Mom and has done great with them. They are 8 weeks old and have started going home. I'm keeping one, beautiful girl for my kennel. Can't wait to get to love on and train another pup. It has been almost three years and it's time! 4 boys are still awaiting their perfect home. I just know there is someone out there for them. Praying that person sees this!
Our dogs are an important part of my family and enhance my life! My children grew up with them and now my grandchildren are able to play and interact with them. Every time I look at them and watch them as they are so gentle with the kids, I think again, "There's nothing like a Golden!"
TOUCHOFAMBER KENNEL'S--LOVELY LADIES-- The heart of our kennel is our beautiful, loving females.
MARLOWE--is a special, beautiful girl born in our August 2014 litter to Isabelle and Dante. After losing Dante suddenly and knowing it would be Isabelle's last litter, I just had to keep a baby. I just had to keep Dante's bloodline going. We chose Marlowe for her spunk, her color, and her smarts! She just turned 7 and she is an older beauty with that same medium golden, thick coat that her Dad had. Marlowe is graceful but her biggest asset is her eyes. She has the roundest, most kind eyes that just capture you when you look into them. Some age is marching in but not much. Marlowe has been a wonderful mother to 5 litters and God willing, Marlowe will have her last litter soon here in 2022 then she will be free to just live out her life here on the farm with us just loving on her!
PIPER-- is our saucy, sweet girl kept from our July 2015 litter out of Emmie. She has a light coat that is so thick and soft in the winter time. She loves to be loved on and is totally content to just be sidled up to my leg and just stand there waiting for a pat. She has been a little more difficult to figure out than any of my others over the years. It has taken several attempts and trials at what to do with her as far as breeding but finally at 5 years old, Piper finally got a pregnancy confirmation at our vet's office! PIPER WAS THE PROUD MAMA OF 7 BORN IN NOVEMBER, 2020! Yes we celebrated! Was looking forward to more fat chunks and they are finally here. Piper has a new litter born April 5, 2022!
REMINGTON-- NO LONGER WITH US-was our bouncing, energetic, needy, four year old. I kept her from our August 2016 litter out of Emmie and Bailey, an offspring of our Dante. This was Bailey's first siring. Bailey is Marlowe's brother and has the same sweet demeanor and beautiful round eyes. We wanted to remember our Emmie, her mama, hence the name. Remi has been a joy. She is soooo smart, soooo sweet. She looks at me with those big round eyes and I just know she will bless our Golden family many more years with that Golden love!!! She should have started her breeding career but so far, it hasn't worked out. She is another one hard to figure out. We tried one more breeding with her in September, 2020. PREGNANCY DIDN'T WORK OUT AGAIN. REMI WENT TO LIVE WITH A WONDERFUL COUPLE DURING THE FALL THAT HAD ORIGINALLY HAD ONE OF OURS. SHE WILL MAKE THEM A WONDERFUL, LOVING COMPANION. THEY WERE LONESOME AFTER LOSING THEIRS.
GYPSY-- Gypsy is our 5 year old, stunning beauty. She was born on January 19, 2018 and comes from Early's Ragtime Goldens in Tennessee. She is half English Creme and half American Golden. She and Sawyer share the same English Creme dad but she is the only one that looks like him. We have been so excited to watch her grow and learn daily and she is so smart! Now if I can just keep her out of mud puddles and from jumping on me. She loves the water hose and being sprayed and chasing the water. Seems to be her favorite pasttime!!! Then she lays in the red mulch and I have a pink dog!! She is also a white horse! Huge. I asked Thor how he liked his girlfriend being as big as her was when I bred them last fall and then again this fall. Gypsy and Thor have produced beautiful puppies over the past 31/2 years, a mixture of colors coming from their two backgrounds, but I have to say, that she definitely pulled rank with her color winning out more. New litter of 11 born in May, 2023 from our sire, Trooper. Beautiful so far! These should grow up to be great dogs!
KIRA-- Kira is our baby girl. Even though she is going on 4, she is still the biggest baby on the place. She was born May, 2019, to Marlowe and Thor. I wanted the darkest of the litter leaning closer to her daddy's color and she is proving to be a perfect combination of the two. She is a beautiful rust color with light feathering. Big, beautiful eyes, black around them, and big black mouth. She would have a big, black nose if the pigment weren't always rubbed off from catching moles. She loves playing catch and even tries to do it in the living room. Her greatest joy is riding in the side-by-side. She would go with us anywhere. I can't wait to see how her offspring turn out in the future! Kira's breeding proved successful and she delivered her first litter, her 2022 litter on April 10th. 10 beautiful babies! Way to go, first time Mama! Next litter planned fall of 2023.

SCARLETT--
TOUCHOFAMBER KENNEL'S--SCRUMPTIOUS SIRE'S
THOR--is from our December, 2014 litter from Farrah and Snowball. Both mama and daddy have a great pedigree and that means he is bringing great things to his babies. At 7, he has transformed from a playful, gangly mess to a stately, manly look! He stands there so proud as if to say, "Look at me!" He is so funny to watch. In his run-at-me way, he is constantly biting off more than he can chew and the other dogs just look at him like, "Oh my!" Ha! He loves me alot, you can see it in his eyes and when I look at him, I can't help but love him right back. Michael calls him "Red" as he sports a dark, medium golden coat that we were needing to add some color to our litters for those that are looking for that.
Thor is looking at retirement. Goodness, how can it be. God willing, THOR WIll BE OUR PROUD FATHER OF THE FIRST NEW LITTER IN 2022 WITH MARLOWE! WAY TO GO, THOR! Hopefully this won't be the only one this year. Will soon know on Gypsy! Retiring with two under his belt would sure be great!
SAWYER--NO LONGER WITH US--was our newest addition in the boy category and had his 5TH birthday in August! Sawyer is our first English Creme mixture. We bought him in the fall of 2015 from a reputable breeder in Tennessee, Young Ridge Goldens. Thank you. Susan Leib, for a beautiful boy. He is a mixture of American Golden and English Creme sporting a wavy coat that looks to be a mixture of both his mama's golden coat and his dad's light coat. Sawyer loves to run and play with his best pal, Thor. Thor and Sawyer are roommates in the kennel and spend time biting on each others' legs! Those big round eyes of his. his blocked head, and his thick, wavy coat are his best features and I just know they will show up in his future puppies. Sawyer sired three litters. and even though I hoped to use him as sire for one of my breedings in the spring of 2021 it was proven that he could no longer breed. He lives with a family here in the county and loves his run of their farm and hanging out on their big back porch. Be happy, sweet Sawyer!
TROOPER--We bought Trooper at Young Ridge Goldens, the same place we got Sawyer. He is a joy. A beautiful light to medium golden coat mixed up and wavy. He minds so well and has such beautiful eyes that just capture my heart. Can't wait to see what comes from him!

TOUCHOFAMBER KENNEL'S BOUNCING BABIES!
My pups are always held and loved on and well socialized for their new families. They have a chance to get use to our other dogs who watch after them as if they were their own. They also have a chance to be around our cats who quickly let them know who's boss. They play around in their pens where they stay with mama and get to play in the yard and house often. The babies are wormed at 3 and 6 weeks, vet checked, and given shots at 6 weeks old. I send them to their new homes at 7 weeks old with a packet of copied pedigrees of parents and grandparents, important information sheets, their AKC registration form, their pup contract, and their shot record. I also provide some food that they are eating so that the new owner can mix it in with what they will be feeding so that the puppy won't get sick from the change and they get to go home with a new toy.
TOUCHOFAMBER KENNEL--PURCHASING PUPS
Limited registration,(pets only), is $800. Full registration,(breeding rights), is $1200 with certain requirements to be upheld. I require a deposit of $300(NON-REFUNDABLE) to hold your place for a puppy. I send out a puppy health guarantee/contract that will be read and signed and sent back or brought back to me. Non-refundable, unless something happens to a puppy or litter or not enough of a particular sex at which time, the buyer could get a refund or choose to move to another litter.
The puppies are always available to be seen after two weeks of their birth, however, you wouldn't see any personality at that time. That is usually around 4 to 5 weeks of age. I take many pictures and can send them out to you so you can watch the puppies change and get ready for their new homes. Puppies are chosen in the order of pick number and that is given in the order that I have spoken to the prospective puppy owners and received their deposits. I let them go home at 7 weeks of age but will hold till 8 weeks, as is sometimes recommended if the puppy buyer wants.
I do ship within the United States and have done so a few times. This would be at full cost for the buyer and I will work hand in hand with the buyer to arrange it. Mostly we sell within driving distance because I Ilike to meet my prospective pup owners.
You can't go wrong with a Golden. If you have love to give, time to spend, and room for a dog to exercise, come and see our babies. You'll be glad you did!
