At Tara Winds Chihuahuas, we pride ourselves on our well researched and practical knowledge of the breed, our discriminant choice in our breeding dogs that are all health tested, and the loving manner in which we raise and train our babies.  We focus on breeding the long coat variety and strive to better the breed with each and every litter.  We are proud to be breeding some of the oldest, most established lines in the United States and the world, as we have recently added some gorgeous international imports to our program.  We primarily breed for our own show dogs but occasionally will have a retiring adult or a puppy that may not meet our high show standards, but will rival any other pet Chihuahua available in beauty, sound temperament, and physical strength and stability.  All puppies are potty pad trained starting at 3 weeks and live in our home where they are well socialized and handled from a young age. 

We urge you to choose your breeder as carefully as you choose your next family member.  As a reputable breeder, we believe that character and ethics are as important to us as the high standards we set for the health of our breeding dogs.  We are family for life when you acquire one of our dogs, and are always available to help with training, nutrition, etc. questions as they arise.  We are proud of and love our dogs to pieces and know you will too.  We are glad to provide references from happy pet homes that have our babies as requested.
