Welcome to Shooting Star Portuguese Water Dogs!

We fell in love with the Portuguese Water Dog for their joyful energy, intelligence, and loyal nature. This fun, active breed is a perfect fit for our busy family life on the farm. With three young children, our PWDs are part of everything we do—they hike with us, swim in the pond, play endless games of fetch, and are always ready for a new adventure.

They’re more than pets—they’re therapy dogs, school reading buddies, and even office companions! Our dogs are incredibly social, enjoying time with their doggy and human friends (and yes, even our pigs, chickens, and cats!).

We are committed to preserving the breed’s standards in conformation, health, and temperament. Each pairing is carefully planned, and our puppies are raised in our home with early socialization and lots of love. We encourage future puppy families to visit often and be part of their puppy’s journey from the very beginning.
