Aspengrove is located in the beautiful Fingerlakes section of New York. A pretty drive in any season which is necessary to obtain an Aspengrove Lhasa since I do not ship my puppies. I first fell in love with the breed in 2002 when I purchased my first two girls, Candy and Sugar. I was breeding Dobermans at the time and had no intention of raising Lhasas. A yr later during my search for a third Lhasa, I visited a Lhasa kennel that was selling out. After much thought and inner guidance, I purchased 5 adult females, two adult males and 4 puppies. One of the best decisions I've ever made and have been raising quality Lhasas ever since. Of those adults, five were from totally different lineage so I had alot of breeding choices. They sadly, have all crossed over that Rainbow Bridge now but their heritage lives on. The puppies I now am offering have superb temperaments, and subscribe to the AKC standard for Lhasa Apsos. If you do not want a devoted companion who is content and happy to sit in your lap quietly, do not buy a Lhasa. If you aren't interested in an alert watchdog who isn't yappey, don't get a Lhasa. But if you would like a robust, healthy,intelligent companion and forever friend that will love you unconditionally every day of their life, then consider adding the joy of a Lhasa Apso to your home and family. I've heard and read that Lhasas aren't good with children. To clarify that...Lhasas love anyone who loves them. If they are snappy with children, then I suggest those children need to be observed more closely, when they think no one is watching. I have, on occasion, refused to place a Lhasa puppy with a family with unruly children. Not all family situations are suitable for a Lhasa, which is another reason I don't ship...I like to meet, in person, the family that will be taking one of my Lhasas into their home.
