I fell in love with Bernese Mountain Dogs when I was stationed in Germany.  In the five years I lived there I got to meet numerous breeders, attend multiple dog shows, and participate in breeding/temperament evaluations.    It became my goal to breed Berners when I retired from the military. 

I was able to realize my dream over two years ago when I purchased a 45 acre property In Jeffersonton, VA.  I decided that I would purchase my breeding stocks from overseas in order to diversify the bloodlines available in the US.  I carefully evaluated the dogs that I purchased as I wanted to ensure that I was minimizing the chances for breed related health issues.  All of my breeding stock came from parents that had the testing done that is recommended by the Bernese Mountain Dog Club of America.  Additionally, all of their parents are International Champions.  Their export pedigrees are available on request.

All of my breeding stock has been evaluated for the the health issues recommended by the Bernese Mountain Dog Clud of America.  Their  test results are posted on Berner-Garde.  These puppies sell with a lifetime guarantee against DM and VWB, and a one year guarantee against hip and elbow issues.  

My puppies are raised in the house.  They have been exposed to other dogs, cats, small children, and horses (from a distance!). They get brushed daily and have their nails trimmed weekly.  They received their first set of shots, are microchipped, and have their rear dew claws removed. They will have been dewormed four times prior to them going to their new homes.  You are welcome to visit and meet the parents.
