NOWS THE TIME TO GET ON THE WAIT LIST - We are planning on breeding Rosie one more time.

TBD 2023 - This will likely be the last litter for Rosie.

March 23, 2021     - 2nd litter.   This litter produced 8 puppies.

October 23, 2019  - 1st ever litter for both Rosie and us.  This litter produced 5 puppies.

We are likely going to keep Willie as the Sire.   We've had excellent results so far.   Of the 13 puppies, we know that 4 are active water dogs.   In fact, 2 of the puppies went on to win 1st and 3rd place in the Texas Dock Diving competition 2022 for their breed.  Ruckus won with an average jump of 17 ft.  It's really something special to watch if you haven't seen it.  Dogs and owners love it.   You can check it out at https://www.houstondivedogs.com/

Before leaving to their forever homes, puppies have preventative medical care including tail docking, dewclaw removal, and 3 deworming treatments.  And 6-week puppy shots with a fecal exam.

We hold and love on our puppies every evening to acclimate this people-loving breed to people and being handled.  Puppies have been exposed to crates and are well on their way to being house-trained.

Thoughts from the 2021 breeding

With the first breeding it occurred to me that for the first month, Rosie did all the work.  It is the second month when the puppies make a breeder really work.   After the first time, I was excited to see if I could make changes to make things a bit easier.  My small tweaks helped but this time we had 8 puppies when the first time we had 5.  It gets pretty humorous trying to clean and herd 8 puppies while trying to clean their pen.  For the 3rd litter, I'll have a secondary clean pen where I can put each puppy after their daily baths.

Thoughts from the 2019 breeding.

Below is an accounting of our first and at that time only litter.  It's shocking how hard it was a joy to share in 5 different little lives during the first couple of months.  Giving them to their forever homes always brought tears to our eyes, but we knew each puppy was going to a great home.

Our 5 sweet puppies were born on October 23, 2019. All puppies will be able to join forever homes for Christmas! Both the mom, Rosie, and the dad, Willie, are purebred AKC-registered English Springer Spaniels with great temperaments.  Our puppy's lineage comes from the bench breed or show dogs.  Rosie is a very smart dog and while not used for hunting shows strong hunting instincts.  She will sweep a field, naturally point, and fetch until your arm falls off.  Springers are known for being extremely great hunters as well as great family pets.

These puppies are being raised within our home as opposed to kennels.  Well socialized with lots of individual attention.   Puppies had tails docked, dew claws removed, and deworming medicine given.  Puppies had their puppy shots the week of 12/16.   Puppies have been exposed to crates and are well on their way to being house-trained.

They are high energy and a lot of fun.   The first litter of puppies was named based on a Christmas theme and forever homes are welcome to keep or change the name.  We have already registered the litter with the AKC.  All that remains is forever owners to register the specific dog with their forever names.

Ebenezer was the runt of the litter but my personal favorite due to his coloration and his personality.  Before he could walk he was calm and cool.  Now that he can walk/run he is inquisitive but transitions to calm quickly.
